• 1 lb ground pork
  • 14 oz can of Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro
  • salt and pepper to taste

How to prepare

Finely dice the onion then combine it in a bowl with the meat, garlic, half of the chili powder (1/4 teaspoon), cumin seeds, breadcrumbs, egg and salt.

Shape mixture into balls. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the meatballs over high heat for a few minutes on each side, until cooked through.

Meanwhile, heat the Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes in a sauce pan with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon chili powder and a generous sprinkling of salt. Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce for a few minutes to allow flavors to combine. Serve hot and garnish with chopped cilantro.
